My interpretation and merging of two parallell koncepts; the modern adaptation by scientists to use the Greek word and philosphy of the - by then - believed to be undividable and final matter of all thigs, Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Wind. On the other hand you have the Christian philosophers René Decartes theory about a similar but fundamentally different kind of particle matter, the monades, essentially panteism in character.
